Thank you for your interest in supporting young artists through Nutata Network.
What is Nutifafa?
Nutifafa is an art competition themed around “Rest Round About,” calling youth to express peace, identity, and healing through visual storytelling. We aim to uplift creative voice and restore cultural pride.
What Mentors Can Do
You can support in any of the following ways, depending on your capacity and interest:
1. Host a Workshop (Virtual or In-Person)
Duration: 30–60 mins
Topic ideas:
Finding your creative voice
Art as healing or cultural storytelling
How to talk about your work (artist statements, captions)
Composition, symbolism, or mixed media techniques
2. Inspire or Encourage Artists
Record a short video or voice note about what “peace” or “identity” means to you as an artist
Share 1–2 quotes or behind-the-scenes stories we can post
3. Provide Feedback
Review 3–5 submissions (digitally) and give brief written or audio reflections
Optional: offer encouragement messages for finalists
4. Judge Final Entries
Use our judging rubric (theme interpretation, originality, impact, technique)
Join a virtual discussion or submit scores by June 28
Time Commitment
We respect your time. Most mentors will contribute 1–3 hours total between June 1–28. We’ll coordinate availability and give support materials in advance.
